She's a fame whore': Courtney Stodden slammed by co-stars of new reality series Couple's Therapy

Fellow cast members of the new reality series Couple's Therapy have rounded on Courtney Stodden calling her a 'fame whore' and accusing her of ruining the show.
Stodden,18, and her 51-year-old husband are among five couples featured in the VH1 show beginning this week.
But the teenager's appearance and antics angered the other on the series who said they were only on the show to promote themselves rather than seek genuine help.

Stodden has made a name for herself by marrying Green Mile star Doug Hutchinson and parading around Los Angeles in a series of skimpy, flesh bearing outfits.
Blogger Nik Richie, who is on the show with his wife Shayne Lamas, winner of Season 12 of The Bachelor, accused Stodden of being a 'fame whore.'

'Doug and Courtney were acting like they were in love and everything was perfect,' Richie, 33, told The Daily Beast website.
'Courtney was just a creepy overtly sexual person. She wouldn’t open up and that’s what bothered a lot of us.

'Obviously there’s something there. Why does this person crave so much attention? Why is this person so sexual at 17? Why is she wearing stripper clothes? I personally think they were there for the wrong reasons. They want to be famous and they’re getting the most out of it.'
His wife added that Stodden had to 'put on a show' for the first episode.
'Showing your deepest, darkest times in life with Courtney Stodden sitting there twiddling her f***ing thumbs, it was a definitely a challenging time in the first week,' said Lamas, 26.
During the series where the couples are counseled by psychotherapist Dr. Jenn Berman they undergo group sessions and individual sessions.
The five couples are followed everywhere by cameras for the reality show.

The others taking part are Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen of Real Housewives of New York City,rapper Too $hort Shaw and his ex girlfriend, Monica Payne, back; and Joel 'JoJo' Hailey of K-Ci & JoJo and the former Jodeci and his wife, Tashaunda ('Tiny').
Dr Berman said he was surprised the animosity to Stodden and her husband.

He said: 'I didn’t expect the extent of aggression and animosity in the house from the moment they walked in.
'It really surprised me, in all honesty. I was quite shocked. Courtney and Doug posed many challenges. 
'But we did what we therapists do—we processed it until a lot of people understood that they were allowing other stuff to be a distraction and that I was providing a safe environment for them to do all of the deep work they had to.'
Couple's Therapy begins on October 3rd on VH1.
