Philipps married screenwriter Marc Silverstein in 2007.

She gave birth to Birdie Leigh Silverstein, on August 13, 2008 and on December 10, 2012, Philips announced via Twitter that she was pregnant with her second child, showing a picture of her positive pregnancy test.
