With the heat stepping up in Miami, Christina Milian decided to get cool... in more ways than one.
The 30-year-old mother slipped her snake hips into a lizard print cut-out swimsuit for a splash in the ocean, and looked spectacular for it.

The nicely voluptuous singer filled the difficult-to-wear one piece perfectly and wore her thick hair to one side in a pretty plait.

She beamed widely as a nanny watched her two-year-old daughter in a nearby cabana.

It's a far cry from the situation tow years ago when Milian's dream became a nightmare after her husband singer-producer The-Dream cheated on her with his assistant.

Now legally separated from Violet Madison Nash's father, the R&B singer is happy with her life as a single mother.
Christina, The Voice's social media correspondent, frolicked in the surf clearly confident that she looked good in her swimwear.

The doting mother has tweeted her love and devotion to her 'coolest baby in the world.'

She wrote: 'I can't wait to take Violet on tour w me someday. She's such a COOL KID! ‪#ImInLove'

The Dip It Low singer suffered a loss on July 3 when her other baby -- her beloved dog SheRah succumbed to cancer.

'My Family & I will miss her 4ever, and thru all my tears I'm happy 2 know she is ok now. A dogs love is truly unconditional,' Milian tweeted.

However, Christina was in better spirits when she did an interview with Houston's 97.9 The Box, speaking candidly about her ex Terius Nash's lack of relationship with their daughter.

'I’m not happy at the moment, but I have come to the realisation that I have to be 200% mum for her and it’s not about finances, it’s about spending time,' Milian said of The-Dream, who also has three children with singer Nivea.

'We live in different cities, he’s in Atlanta and I’m in LA. There are planes and plenty of money for airplanes so... I’m not one of those who withhold their children from their baby daddy. Don’t do that.'

And as far as dating goes, Christina said that she hopes 'someday there will be a healthy man in my life that will love [Violet] the way I do.'

The newly-signed Young Money artist, who has not had a Top 10 hit since 2004 with Dip It Low, went on to talk about how excited she was to be recording her much-delayed fourth album.

The former Def Jam artist says she feels 'complete' and like she's '18 getting a record deal for the first time' and has already tweeted several pictures from the recording studio.

She is looking forward to collaborating with label mates Lil Wayne, Birdman, and Nicki Minaj.
